Uprava za varno hrano, veterinarstvo in varstvo rastlin (UVHVVR) je v okviru uradnega vzorčenja odvzela vzorce kakijev z oznako KAKI PERSIMON (črtna koda: 3858885879443), kjer so laboratorijski rezultati pokazali preseženo mejno vrednost pesticida acetamiprid.
Zaznana koncentracija pesticida presega dovoljeno mejo, kar predstavlja kemijsko tveganje. UVHVVR je zato izdelek, ki ga na slovenski trg dobavlja podjetje ENNA Fruit d.o.o. s Hrvaške in distribuira Mercator d.o.o., preventivno umaknila s trga. Država porekla kakija je Španija.
Kljub preseženi mejni vrednosti ostanka pesticida, strokovnjaki ocenjujejo, da sadje ne predstavlja neposredne nevarnosti za zdravje potrošnikov. Iz previdnostnih razlogov pa UVHVVR potrošnikom svetuje, da izdelek vrnejo na mesto nakupa, kjer jim bo povrnjen strošek nakupa.
